By accessing or using the Daanyam API ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The Service is operated by Daanyam Technologies Private Limited ("Daanyam", "we", "us"), registered in Karnataka, India. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Daanyam provides a deterministic ephemeris computation API for Vedic and Western astronomy. The Service computes planetary positions, sidereal charts, and dasha periods using the JPL DE440 kernel. Responses include computation metadata for auditability.
You must register and obtain an API key to use the Service. You are responsible for safeguarding your API key and for all activity under your account. Do not share your API key publicly or embed it in client-side code.
You agree not to:
Developer (free): 1,000 requests/month. No SLA.
Pro: 100,000 requests/month. 99.9% uptime SLA. Email support.
Practitioner: Custom volume. 99.99% SLA. Dedicated infrastructure.
Early Access (founder): Pro-tier quota at a one-time fee, locked for 12 months.
Overages on Pro are queued at degraded latency, not billed. We notify you before throttling. Free-tier requests hard-stop at the monthly limit.
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly in INR. Early Access is a one-time payment. All payments are processed through PhonePe or Razorpay. Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes.
We log request metadata (timestamps, endpoint, latency) for operational purposes. We do not store, inspect, or sell the input data you send to the API (birth details, geographic coordinates, etc.) beyond what is needed to compute the response. See our Privacy Policy for details.
We target the uptime commitments listed per tier. Scheduled maintenance windows are announced at least 24 hours in advance. If we miss an SLA, Pro and Practitioner customers may request service credits — contact support@daanyam.in.
The Daanyam engine, API contract, documentation, and SDKs are the intellectual property of Daanyam Technologies Pvt Ltd. The JPL DE440 kernel is a NASA/JPL public-domain dataset. Your application code and data remain yours.
The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Daanyam shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with notice where practical. On termination, your API key is revoked and outstanding data is deleted within 30 days.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to the address on your account at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
